|Guardian Angel Knitting Program | Red Nose Day | Australian Packaging Covenant|
Spotlight proudly supports the Guardian Angel Knitting Program.
The program is now in its 15th year and has provided hundreds of thousands of garments to people in need around the world.
If you want to become a Guardian Angel this year, visit your local Guardian Pharmacy, pick up a FREE pattern and get knitting.
Once knitted, the garments can then be dropped back at any Guardian Pharmacy and will be distributed by Variety, the children's charity to children in need across Australia and New Zealand.
Red Nose Day is a huge fundraising event for Sids & Kids and we're only too happy to help out! Funds raised through Red Nose Day at Spotlight stores have contributed to the research that identified the risks of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Red Nose Day activities also provide critical funding for 24-hour bereavement support services, community education and the promotion of research.
During June, you'll be able to purchase all types of Red Nose merchandise in all Spotlight stores across Australia.
The Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) represents a commitment by governments and industry to the sustainable design, use and recovery of packaging. It is the voluntary component of a co-regulatory model designed to reduce the environmental impacts of consumer packaging by encouraging improvements in packaging design, higher recycling rates and better stewardship of packaging.
Below is a downloadable copy of the Spotlight Retail Group’s APC Action Plan, prepared to meet obligations agreed to upon becoming a signatory to the APC.
