Beading Butterfly
Posted on
23 Aug 2010
Made a birthday cad for a friend the other week, unfortunately forgot to take a picture of it before gifting. (Will try get a hold of it to photograph it!) Took me FOREVER to do this little butterfly. Made up with no design, I just thought I would try something a little different. Done completely of a soft wire and tiny glass beads.
Completed 4 little teardrop shaped loops of glass beads and secured.
Then did a long oval shape for the body part of the butterfly of a different colour glass bead, secured with crushable loops.
Then did 2 little spirals, no beads on this, for the antennae.
cut another length of wire, entwined it through the teardrop wings one by one to attach to the body before completeing a loop over the top to secure the antennae to the top my little glass buterfly's head.
Took my a while as the dog likes to watch the beads roll of the table into the carpet making it rather hard to find such small glass beads on my behalf!
