I am having trouble finding a round tablecloth in the size (186cm) and colour that I want. Is it too hard or could I make it myself?

    • It is not particularly difficult if you purchase a wide fabric. For a 186cm cloth you need 2m fabric 200cm or wider. Add 4cm to the original size for a hem (2cm each side) for a working measurement of 190cm. Fold the fabric in half lengthways and measure 190cm along the fold and cut across to the selvedge. Measure 95cm out from the fold and cut along to remove excess fabric to create a 190cm square. Fold
the square in half then fold in half again. Place tape measure on the folded point and mark at 95cm every 10cm around. Use tailors chalk or quilters pencil to connect the marks to create a quarter circle. With the fabric still folded cut along the line. Overlock the edge or turn under and stitch.
