I'm just new to the Inspiration Room groups, I joined this afternoon.
Hope you are staying dry there in Melbourne with all that rain around.
I'm interested in some of the yarn you wish to off load, if you could give me an idea of what types of wool, what garments it would be suitable for knitting and some quantities.
I live in Brisbane, I'm happy to buy the wool if it is suitable for my knitting projects if you wish to send it to me.
Cheers
Andrea

Spotlight had a project sheet a year or so ago using Moda Vera Flurry (the feathery type yarn), but this would work with any yarn - even doing it in a plain yarn and knitting a couple of rows of flurry with the plain yarn every so often. I have one similar a friend made me and it looks quite effective.
What you need :
1 x 50 gm ball Moda Vera Flurry, 1 wooden coat hanger, 1 piece of thin wadding, 1 pair 4mm knitting needles, Needle & Thread.
What you do :
To make the edges nice and soft, cover the the wooden hanger with a thin layer of wadding. Mark the centre of the wadding and push the hook of the hanger through this point. Push the wadding down the hook so that it lies along the top edge of the hanger.
Thread the needle with a double strand of thread. Draw both edges of the wadding over the hanger and sew them together along the bottom edge and then at the ends. Trim the wadding if necessary so the edges just meet; try not to overlap the wadding as this makes it too bulky.
Cast on 20 stitches. Knit 20 rows then measure it against the hanger to see if it is long enough. Continue knitting until the strip is long enough to cover the hanger without stretching. Cast off.
Mark the centre of the knitted strip and slip it gently over the hook. Using a wool needle and the same yarn used for the knitting, sew together along the bottom edge and then at the ends as neatly as possible.
Hope this helps. All the best. Lyndell

I am knitting the Left Front of the sweater and just finished the first part. Now I have to start the Front Neck Shaping and these are the instructions:
Keeping pattern correct, decrease one stitch at end (front edge) of next row and following 4th row/s until 59 stitchs remain, Size S only - then in following 6th rows 3 times.
(I don't understand what they mean by "following 4th row/s". I assume I have to decrease one stitch on the first row and the fourth, but why do they add /s to row?
And this phrase: Size S only - then in following 6th rows 3 times. What do I have to do here?)
Then it says: All Sizes - 56 (65-65-76) stitchs (I'm doing size S so I should follow 56, but I don't know what I have to do here.
Thank you in advance.
