Hi.I want to start a group who would help me to sew then donate breast pillows for the ladies who have to undergo breast removal.so many ladies are going through this and if we could make pillows for the daffodil Cottage, the Orange cancer clinic and indeed where there is a need we could help with thatI get a lot of requests for pillows to be sent interstate. If you live in the city or have treatment there you could of heard about these but living away from the large areas you do not get the same help.I sew and donate them but I am not enjoying good health and would love to start this group.I also knit hat/scarves for the winter season. They are both very easy projects but can help raise the spirits of these girls. We could always send on to other small areas if we make too many.Maybe we could start a breast pillow day. If anyone is interested you can send me a email on rmrhar133@bigpond.com or call  me on 68625808.Thank you for reading this note.I wish you all a great day and keep smiling.Rae.

    • HI! I would love to help out.. please let me know the pattern and where to send them. Breast pillows are small "pillows" sort of a moonshape design which are carried around like a handbag to support the side which the breast was removed so the arm doesn't touch it.

    • I had breast cancer some years ago and was the lucky recipient of a breast pillow. When I was given it I wasn't given any instructions on how to use it but quickly worked it out for myself. Can I say it was THE MOST helpful thing I have ever received. Your operation site and arm are VERY tender post op and having to wear a bra 24/7 for 2 months would have been very painful without this little pillow. I never knew who made mine as I would have liked to thank them personally for such a wonderful gift. I encourage anyone how has the time to support this wonderful project.

      Thanks so much, Megan
