- Hi Guys.
Just thought I'd start things off by intrducing myself.
My name is Rebecca. I live in Queensland. I cross stitch everyday.
I have been doing cross stitch since before I can remember. My mum taught me how to do it when i was young, and I am very thankful that she did.
I stopped cross stitching for a while, but now that I am older I have found a new appreciation for it and have just started up again with it.
Currently I am working on a cross stitch of my German Shepherd. She was my inspiration for starting back up again.
The pattern I made up myself with the help of a computer program. It's on 14count aida fabric, 200 by 267 stitches. So it's quite large.
I have been working on it for 3 months now. Hoping to get it done by christmas, there isn't much left to do now.
Take some time and tell everyone about yourself and about the projects you are currently working on or have finished.
Happy stitching. :)
- Great idea for the christmas season
- Make Your Own Christmas Gift Tags
Use up scrap pieces of fabric and odd ends of thread, create your own gift tags for Christmas.
Simply use a small piece of fabric and backstitch the "To", "From" and the names on it.
To keep the edges of the material from fraying, just fold the edges over and stitch it in place.
Get creative and decorate the tags with cross stitched snowflakes, christmas trees or any thing else you desire.
Below is a link to a pattern for a snowflake, Just to give you ideas.
