Can't believe I hadn't thought of it before, but I was in a hurry and didn't have time to colour icing. So I grabbed some of my pre-mixed fondant creme filling (normally used to put in a chocolates to make a soft centre), I had the Strawberry flavour, warmed it slightly so it went just runny, filled up my icing bag and hey presto - I could write really easily on top of my cupcakes. The fondant then sets really hard but with a lovely glossy finish. I'm wrapped and it gave an extra sweet addition to the top of the cupcakes.

    • Thanks for the tip - this sounds really interesting and I'm getting more and more into baking now so I can't wait to try this. How do you think it would work with biscuits? Or would the fondant be too hard on a hard biscuit?
