- Materials
- • 25cm square wooden frame
• wooden monologue numbers
• paint - in colours to suit
• paint brushes - fine & medium
• co-ordinating scrapbook paper
• craft knife, cutting mat & ruler
• PVA wood glue
• spray gloss
• double-sided tape - Step 1
- Remove the back of the frame and set aside. Paint front of frame and let dry. Paint outside edges and inner frame edges in a contrast colour and let dry.
Using a colour to match the scrapbook paper, paint the front of the wooden numbers and let dry. Paint the side edges in the same colour as the edges of the frame. Let dry. - Step 2
- Using PVA wood glue, adhere the numbers to the front of painted frame in desired position. Allow to dry.
Cut scrapbook paper to fit over the back of frame (like a photo). Attach paper to back with double-sided tape. Place back inside frame with scrapbook paper facing out. - Step 3
- Using the design on the paper as inspiration, paint a design on frame and numbers. Allow to dry.
Remove scrapbook paper back from frame and set aside. Spray painted frame with gloss spray and let dry. Replace scrapbook paper back into frame right side out.
