From the Paisley print cut four 4 1/2” strips, crosscut into thirty 4 1/2” squares.
From C1 cut 5 x 2 1/2” strips, crosscut into thirty 2 1/2” x 6 1/2” rectangles; three 2 1/2” strips, crosscut into forty-nine 2 1/2” squares; eight 2 1/2” strips (inside border); eight 2 1/4” strips (binding).
From C2 cut five 2 1/2” strips, crosscut into thirty 2 1/2” x 6 1/2” rectangles; three 2 1/2” strips, crosscut into forty-nine 2 1/2” squares.
From background fabric cut two 8 7/8” strips, crosscut into nine 8 7/8” squares then cut once diagonally (18 half square triangles); cut one 9 1/4” strip, crosscut into one 9 1/4” square then cut twice diagonally (4 quarter-square triangles).
From the stripe fabric cut eight 5 1/2” strips (outer border).

Rotate block to the right once more and sew on C2 rectangle and press as before (Step E).
Rotate block once more to finish sewing the first seam line and press.
Make 40 in total.
