Marbling with shaving cream

- Raid the bathroom cabinet for shaving cream & add a new, fragrant skill to your artsy arsenal.

- Materials
- • watercolour paper or cardstock
• spray can of shaving cream
• shallow pan or a box lid
• paints in colours of choice
• paint extender (Jo Sonja magic mix medium)
• crystal kindy glitz
• skewer
• scraps cardboard from a box
• paper towel - Step 1
- Spray a generous amount of the shaving cream into the base of the pan/box lid.

- Step 2
- Smooth out the shaving cream with a scrap of cardboard.

- Step 3
- Add extender to paint colours in small containers until a pouring consistency is achieved; use two colours. Drip paint onto the surface of the shaving cream, then squirt the kindy glitz on to the surface.

- Step 4
- Take a skewer and run it through the paint creating interesting swirls on the surface.

- Step 5
- Select a sheet of watercolour paper or cardstock.

- Step 6
- Place the paper directly on top of the shaving cream.

- Step 7
- Smooth slightly to make sure the entire surface of the paper touches the shaving cream.

- Step 8
- Peel back the paper from one corner.

- Step 9
- Lift the paper off the shaving cream.

- Step 10
- Lay the paper on a flat surface.

- Step 11
- Using a scrap of cardboard scrape off the excess shaving cream in one single motion. Do not rub.

- Step 12
- Set paper aside to dry.
