Napkin rings
By Spotlight
- Here’s a fun project that anyone can create very quickly to add pizzazz to a table setting. We’ve taken an empty cardboard roll & created these glamorous napkin rings.
- Final Result

- Materials
- • empty cardboard roll (from paper towel/glad wrap)
• aluminium foil
• Ribtex scrapbooking embellishments - gold double heart, large silver metal heart, butterfly, flower, foil bead, organza flower
• glue
• double-sided tape
• scissors
• craft knife
• pencil & ruler - Step 1
- Using pencil and ruler mark cardboard roll at 2cm intervals or desired width. Cut the required number of rings from the cardboard roll using a craft knife.

- Step 2
- Tear a few strips of foil approximately 5cm wide. Wrap the foil around the outside of the cardboard ring and turn the excess foil to the inside of the ring. To neaten the foil by press it flat. Repeat for each cardboard ring.

- Step 3
- Select the embellishments to be used and attach using glue or double-sided tape. If using glue set aside to dry for a few hours.
These silver foil covered rings look great with white or black napkins.
- Handy Hint
- Use brightly coloured paper instead of foil to complement a themed party such as Pets, Butterflies or Sport. See the complete range of Ribtex Scrapbooking embellishments in store to make your selection.
