Neck tie purse

- • unwanted neck tie
• matching thread
• large press stud
• button
• scissors
• tape measure

• sewing machine
• hand needle - Step 1
- Remove the label from the back of the tie. Cut across the tie approximately 28cm above the widest point as shown in the diagram. Adjust this measurement to make purse longer or shorter. Zigzag across the cut edge. Sew using a straight stitch to secure underside to top as shown in photo.

- Step 2
- Bring the cut end up to the point of the lining right sides to the outside and pin in place. Using a straight stitch sew down each side as close to the edge as possible making sure to catch both edges in the seam.

- Step 3
- Fold top down and use a tailor tack to mark where the press stud will be. Sew the stud section to the underside of the flap and the hole section to the outside front of the pouch. Sew a button to the outside of the flap.

- Replace the button with a faux flower, beads or other embellishment.
