- Remove threads from along each side to create a fringe. Divide into 3 equal columns and 3 equal rows and rule a line to create 9 boxes. Thread needle with a length of yarn and leaving a 5cm tail, work running stitch along one line. At the end, take yarn around the edge and come back up through at the end of the last stitch. Continue back to the start to create a continuous line of stitching. Tie end to tail at the start and trim off excess. Repeat for the other 3 lines.
