Perky Poncho

- • 2 x 50g balls "Moda Vera" Cupcake - Main Colour
• 1 x 50g ball "Moda Vera" Cupcake - Contrast Colour
• 5.50mm crochet hook
• scissors, yarn needle, tape measure - Step 1
- Main square - make 2
Using CC, make 4ch, join with sl st to 1st chain to form ring.
Rnd 1: 3ch, 2tr in ring, *2ch for corner, 3tr in ring, rep from * twice; 2ch, join with sl st in top of 3-ch, sl st to next 2-ch corner.
Rnd 2: 3ch, 2tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr in same 2-ch corner, *1ch, (3tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr) in next 2-ch corner, rep from * twice; 1ch, join with sl st in top of 3-ch, sl st to next 2-ch corner.
Rnd 3: Join MC, 3ch, 2tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr in same 2-ch corner, *1ch, 3tr in 1-ch sp, 1ch, (3tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr) in 2-ch corner, rep from * twice; 1ch, join with sl st in top of 3-ch, sl st to next 2-ch corner.
Rnd 4: 3ch, 2tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr in same 2-ch corner, * (1ch, 3tr in 1-ch sp,) twice, 1ch, (3tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr) all in 2-ch corner, rep from * twice; 1ch, join with sl st in top of 3-ch, sl st to next 2-ch corner.
Rep rnd 4 three times, remembering to add a (1ch, 3tr in 1-ch sp) along each side of each row until square has 7 rnds.

- Side square - make 4
Rnd 1: Using CC, 4ch, join with sl st in 1st chain to form ring, 3ch, work 2tr in ring, *2ch for corner, 3tr in ring; rep from * twice; 2ch, join with sl st in top of 3-ch, sl st to next 2-ch corner.
Rnd 2: Join MC, 3ch, 2tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr in same 2-ch corner, *1ch, (3tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr) in next 2-ch corner, rep from * twice; 1ch, join with sl st in top of 3-ch, sl st to next 2-ch corner.
Rnd 3: 3ch, 2tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr in same 2-ch corner, *1ch, 3tr in 1-ch sp, 1ch, (3tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr) all in 2-ch corner, rep from * twice; 1ch, join with sl st in top of 3-ch, sl st to next 2-ch corner.
Rnd 4: 3ch, 2tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr in same 2-ch corner, * (1ch, 3tr in 1-ch sp,) twice, 1ch, (3tr, 2ch for corner, 3tr) all in 2-ch corner, rep from * twice; 1ch, join with sl st in top of 3- ch, sl st to next 2-ch corner.
Rep rnd 4 three times, remembering to add a (1ch, 3tr in 1-ch space) along each side of each row until square has 7 rnds.
Make up: Take one main square and sew one side square to two adjacent sides (right sides together).
Rep for back and then join both sides together along the side squares. 
- Step 3
- Bottom trim
Sl st MC into side seam and work 1dc in every st around the bottom edge, working 3dc into the corner of the main squares, until back at side seam, sl st into 1st dc; *1ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 3 dc, rep from * all the way around the bottom edge, sl st into 1st dc.Fasten off.
Cut 30cm lengths from both colour yarns and take 3 strands of each colour and work a fringe into every 1ch space along edge.

- Neck trim
Using MC, rep as for bottom trim, remembering to dec over 3dc in each V.
Work 2nd row of 1ch, dc following instructions above, then work a 3rd row of dc in each st and sp.
Sew in all ends. Make a rope consisting of the two colours about 1m in length and thread around the neck. - Note
