Pink & black storage crate

Materials

• Kaisercraft Storage Crate
• PVA glue
• paint brush
• craft knife, ruler & cutting mat
• large rubber bands
• Folk Art paint - baby pink, licorice
• Kaisercraft scrapbook paper - romance, desire
• Kaisercraft black droplets
• Kaisercraft wood flourishes - swirls

Step 1

Mix water with PVA and brush onto back of paper.

Glue paper to sides smoothing out any bubbles. Allow to dry.

Use craft knife to cut out paper that will cover handle hole.

To construct crate, slot all side pieces into the base piece with handle sides opposite each other and secure using PVA glue.

Stretch large rubber band around box to hold together while glue is drying.

Step 2

Paint base, all top edges and inside handle edges licorice. Allow to dry.

Paint all remaining sides pink. Allow to dry.

Cut four pieces from dot side of romance paper 15cm wide x 11.5cm high and glue one to each side.

From scroll side of romance paper cut a 30cm x 11.5cm high strip across the bottom of the print.

Cut in two - 15cm x 11.5cm. Glue the left side of the scroll cut paper to the other side of one of the handle sides, lining up right edges. Then glue the right side of the scroll cut paper to one of the non handle sides, lining up left edges.

Cut two 2cm x 11.5cm strips from desire paper and glue one to left side of the handle side, overlapping scroll paper, the other on the right side of the non handle side, overlapping scroll paper.

Paint wood flourishes licorice. Construct crate. Glue flourishes over swirl designs on paper and embellish with black droplets.
