- • patterned paper
• stapler & staples
• 2 x joggle eyes
• scissors
• needle & thread
• glue
• contrast card for beak
• 2 x small brads
• shredded paper - Step 1
- Cut 2 bird shapes - round body and head and 4 wings. Cut narrow strips of paper for tail and crest and a beak from card. Place body shapes together and staple from the tail under the body and half way around the head. Fill with shredded paper, insert beak and continue stapling around the rest of the head inserting crest at the top. Add more shredded paper if necessary and continue until 4cm from the start. Insert strips for tail and staple closed. Curl some of the tail strips and the ends of the crest. Join 2 wings using a brad and glue to the body. Repeat for wings on the other side. Glue on joggle eyes. Sew thread through top of body for hanging.
