- Materials
- • plain canvas runners (white)
• Francheville brads - printed daisy
• Francheville flower ribbon brads
• Francheville buttons - printed hearts, flowers, buterflies
• 2-2.5m grosgrain ribbon (to replace laces)
• medium blunt darning needle
• medium sewing needle
• thick beading thread
• scissors - Step 1
- Remove the laces. Select the buttons and brads you want to use and draw your design on paper. We placed brads between the eyelet holes and stitched buttons onto the sides.
- Step 2
- Use a darning needle to make holes for the brads. Ensure brads are placed where the tongue of the shoe will protect the feet, you don’t want the back of the brads rubbing on little feet.
- Step 3
- Sew buttons on with beading thread. Cut ribbon in half and thread one end through the end eyelet. Thread on a flower ribbon brad then thread the other end of the ribbon through the other end eyelet. Thread the ribbon laces through eyelets to the top. Designer shoes are now ready for little feet.
