Sparkling sun catchers

Final Result

Materials

• clear contact
• scissors
• yarn
• glitter, sequins & beads
• bell

Step 1

Cut two 8cm squares of clear contact for each square on your sun catcher. Peel the backing paper off one square of clear contact and lay it on your work surface sticky side up.

Step 2

Place the yarn across the square on the diagonal; sprinkle a small amount of glitter, sequins and beads onto the contact and cover with a second piece of contact.

Step 3

Repeat step 2 for each sparkling square. Leave enough yarn at the top to make a loop for hanging. Tie a bell to the bottom length of yarn.

Handy Hint

Use small pieces of tissue paper, coloured sand or metallic flakes instead of glitter, sequins and beads in your sun catcher.
