Materials

- 'Tis the Season Paper Collection
- Metallic Gold Paint

Step 1

Separate all pieces by gently breaking apart the tabs and sanding to create smooth edges.

Step 2

Put your advent calendar together, ensuring the two longest pieces are placed at the top and bottom.

The extra long thin piece is to adhere to the base of the calendar to give the calendar a flat base so it doesn’t lean forward when standing.

Step 3

When together, randomly swipe gold paint around some of the front edge pieces but the remaining is left raw.

Step 4

Cut Choir into strips 4.8cm wide (1 7/8"). Adhere the patterned strips around the outside edges of the calendar and the bottom edge of the inside shadow box frame.

The top and side edges of the inside frame cover with the reverse green side.

Step 5

Cut a 22.5cm (8 7/8") square from Gift and adhere to the centre of the frame.

If you have additional sheets of this paper you can cut out elements of the Santa design and layer to create a paper toll effect.

From St. Nick (newspaper - reverse)cut out the title "Christmas Time" and adhere using foam tape.

Step 6

Fold and assemble each drawer and hold in position using tape before covering.

Step 7

Cut 24 strips (4cm high) from a selection of papers in this collection and adhere around the sides and back of each drawer.

Start wrapping paper around from the front, just left of the cut out and finish just right of the cut out.

The reverse side of Sleigh has been designed so that the small picture squares fit the fronts of the drawers so cut out desired designs and adhere one to each.

Step 8

Ink around the edges of each draw and randomly place into shelves.

Stick numbers 1 - 24 in a variety of positions on each drawer.

Step 9

Add additional ink to edges of unit as desired.

Clear emboss the flourish tree and flourish swirls.

Step 10

Adhere the swirls to the side edges of the advent calendar and stand the tree on the frame shelf.

There is enough room if you would like to add a photograph to the back panel on the lower right side.
