- Materials
- • 30cm square of calico
• embroidery hoop (15-20cm)
• Anchor embroidery thread no1335
• gold embroidery thread
• Clover embroidery stitching tool
• small frame
• pencil
• scissors - Step 1
- Draw a small heart (that will fit inside your frame) in the centre on the back of the calico square. Thread the stitching tool with embroidery thread as per the instructions on the pack. Work with the back facing you thrust the needle through the fabric and pull it up; this will make a loop on the front of the fabric. Repeat until the heart is covered in loops.
- Step 2
- Thread the tool with the gold embroidery thread and fill in the background.
- Step 3
- Remove the embroidery from the hoop and turn it over to see the loops. Place the picture loop side up into the frame, cut away excess calico from the back, secure the picture in place and close the back of the frame.
