- • ‘Moda Vera’ Ballroom 50g balls as per size
• 1 pair 7mm Knitting Needles or size to obtain tension
• 3.75mm Crochet hook.
• Scissors, Yarn Needle, Tape Measure - Step 1
- Tension
18sts x 19 rows to 10cm over Rib pattern using 7mm knitting needles.
Rib Pattern
Row 1: (RS) Knit.
Row 2: (WS) (P1, K1) to last st, K1.
Repeat rows 1&2
BACK
Cast on 79 (87, 97, 107) sts and work in rib pattern until work measures 72 (74, 74, 76)cm ending with WS row
Shape Armholes
Keeping rib pattern correct, cast off 2 (3, 3, 4) sts at the beg of the next 2 rows 75 (81, 91, 99) sts.
Dec 1 st at each end next and following alternate rows 4 times 67 (73, 83, 91) sts.
Continue in rib until work measures 79 (80, 80,81)cm from beg. 
- Step 2
- Shape Neck
Row 1: Rib 26 (28, 32, 34) sts, turn.
Dec 1 st at the beg of this and following alternate rows, until 15(17, 19, 21) sts remain.
Continue in rib until work measures 96 (98, 100, 102)cm from beg, ending with a WS row.
Cast off stitches in Rib. - Step 3
- Left Back
Rejoin yarn to remaining sts, cast off next 15 (17, 19, 23) sts, rib to end 26 (28, 32, 34) sts.
Dec 1 st at the end of this and following alternate rows, until 15 (17, 19, 21) sts remain.
Continue in rib until work measures 96 (98, 100, 102)cm from beg, ending with a WS row.
Cast off stitches in Rib. - Step 4
- Front
Cast on 79 (87, 97, 107) sts, work in rib pattern as for back until work measures 64 (66, 66, 68)cm, ending with the RS facing. - Step 5
- Front opening - Left Front
Row 1: Rib 39 (43, 48, 53) sts, turn. Continue in rib on these sts only and rib for 8cm, ending with a WS row. - Step 6
- Shape Armholes and Front Neck Line
Armhole edge:
Cast off 2 (3, 3, 4) sts rib to end. 37 (40, 45, 50) sts. Rib 1 row.
Dec 1 st at each end of this and following alternate rows 4 times in all 29 (32, 37, 42) sts.
Rib 1 row.
Dec 1 st at the end (neck edge) of this and following alternate rows until there are 15 (17, 19, 21) sts.
Continue in rib until work measures 96 (98, 100, 102)cm from beg ending with a WS row.
Cast off stitches in Rib. - Step 7
- Right Front
Rejoin yarn to remaining sts, cast of first st and rib to end 39 (43, 48, 53) sts.
Continue in rib on these sts only, and rib for 8cm, work 1 more row. - Step 8
- Shape Armholes and Front Neck Line
Armhole edge:
Cast off 2 (3, 3, 4) sts rib to end 37 (40, 45, 50) sts.
Dec 1 st at each end of this and following alternate rows 4 times in all 29 (32, 37, 42) sts.
Rib 1 rows.
Dec 1 st at the beg (neck edge) of this and following alternate row until there are 15 (17, 19, 21) sts.
Continue in rib until work measures 96 (98, 100, 102)cm from beg ending with a WS row.
Cast off stitches in Rib. - Step 9
- Make up
Note: Either remove sequins or use alternate matching thread to sew seams.
Pin and sew shoulder seams.
Pin and stitch side seams.
Draw together top of front opening and overstitch to secure.
A bow of yarn or brooch can be used to suit.
To stop armhole and neck edges from stretching, use either same yarn with sequin thread removed, or matching 5ply yarn and work 1 row of dc around edges.
