• Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure
• Hobby fill for stuffing

Step 1

CREAM BEAR
Body (using MC)
Rnd 1: Work 8dc in magic circle, sl st into 1st dc.
Rnd 2: inc in each dc around, (16 dc).
Rnd 3: (1dc in next dc, inc) 8 times, (24 dc).
Rnd 4: (1dc in each of next 2 dc, inc) 8 times, (32 dc).
Rnd 5: (1dc in each of next 3 dc, inc) 8 times, (40 dc).
Rnd 6: (1dc in each of next 4 dc, inc) 8 times, (48 dc).
Rnd 7: 1dc in each dc around (48 dc).
Rnd 8: (1dc in each of next 5 dc, inc) 8 times, (56 dc).
Rnds 9-29: 1dc in each dc around (56 dc).
Rnd 30: (dec, 1dc in each of next 5 dc) 8 times, (48 dc).
Rnds 31-35: 1dc in each dc around (48 dc).
Rnd 36: (dec, 1dc in each of next 4 dc) 8 times (40 dc).
Rnds 37-41: 1dc in each dc around (40 dc).
Rnd 42: (dec, 1dc in each of next 3 dc) 8 times (32 dc).
Rnd 43: (dec, 1dc in each of next 2 dc) 8 times (24 dc). Fill body with stuffing and work –
Rnd 44: (dec, 1dc in next dc) 8 times (16 dc).
Rnd 45: dec 8 times (8 dc). Fasten off, weave tread through all 8 sts and gather opening into a tight circle. Sew in end.

Step 2

Head (using MC)
Rnd 1: Work 6dc in magic circle, sl st into 1st dc.
Rnd 2: inc in each dc around, (12 dc)
Rnd 3: (1dc in next dc, inc) 6 times, (18 dc).
Rnd 4: 1dc in each dc around (18 dc).
Rnd 5: (1dc in next dc, inc) 4 times, 1dc in each of next 10 dc, (22 dc).
Rnd 6: 1dc in each dc around (22 dc). Rnd 7: (1dc in each of next 2 dc, inc) 4 times, 1dc in each of next 10dc, (26 dc).
Rnd 8: 1 dc in each of next 19 dc, inc in each of next 3 dc, 1 dc in each of next 4 dc, (29 dc).
Rnd 9: (1dc in each of next 2 dc, inc) 7 times, 1dc in each dc to end, (36 dc).
Rnd 10: (1dc in each of next 2 dc, inc) 7 times, 1dc in each dc to end, (43 dc).
Rnd 11: (1dc in each of next 2 dc, inc) 7 times, 1dc in each dc to end, (50 dc).
Rnd 12: 1dc in each dc around, (50 dc).
Rnd 13: (1dc in each of next 2 dc, inc) 10 times, 1dc in each dc to end, (60 dc).
Rnd 14-19: 1dc in each dc around (60 dc).
Rnd 20: (1dc in each of next 2dc, inc) 12 times, 1dc in each dc to end, (72 dc).
Rnd 21-25: 1dc in each dc around (72 dc).
Rnd 26: (1dc in each of next 4 dc, dec) repeat to end of round. Repeat round 26 until 25 sts remain. Fill head with stuffing and work –
Next Rnd: (1dc in each of next 2dc, dec) repeat to end of round Repeat last round until 6 sts remain. Fasten off, weave thread through all 6 sts and gather opening into a tight circle. Sew in end.

Step 3

Arms (make 2 using MC)
Rnd 1: Work 8dc in magic circle, sl st into 1st dc.
Rnd 2: inc in each dc around, (16 dc).
Rnd 3: (1dc in next dc, inc) 8 times, (24 dc).
Rnds 4-7: 1dc in each dc around, (24 dc).
Rnd 8: (1dc in each of next 4 dc, dec) repeat to end of round (20 dc).
Rnds 9-22: 1dc in each dc around (20 dc). Rnd 23: 1dc in each of next 20 dc, turn.
Rnd 24: sk 1 st, 1dc in each of next 15 dc, turn.
Rnd 25: sk 1 st, 1dc in each of next 13 dc, turn.
Rnd 26: sk 1 st, 1dc in each of next 11 dc, turn.
Rnd 27: sk 1 st, 1dc in each of next 9 dc, turn.
Rnd 28: sk 1 st, 1dc in each of next 7 dc, turn.

Step 4

Right Leg (using MC)

Rnd 2: inc, 1dc in each of next 3 dc, (inc-htr) twice, 1dc in each of next 3 dc, inc, (14 sts) Rnd 3: 1dc in next dc, inc, 1dc in each of next 4dc, (inc-htr) twice, 1dc in each of next 3 dc, inc, 1dc in last dc, (18 sts).
Rnd 4: 1dc in each of next 2 dc, inc, 1dc in each of next 5 dc, (inc-htr) twice, 1dc in each of next 5 dc, inc, 1dc in each of last 2 dc, (22 sts).
Rnd 5: 1dc in each of next 3 dc, inc, 1dc in each of next 5 dc, (inc-htr) 4 times, 1dc in each of next 5 dc, inc, 1dc in each of last 2 dc, (28 sts).
Rnds 6-9: 1dc in each dc around, (28 sts).
Rnd 10: 1dc in each of next 12 dc, (dec) twice, 1dc in each of next 12 dc, (26 sts).

Step 5

Left Leg (using MC)
Work as for right leg up to and including Rnd 23.
Row 24: 1dc in each of next 5 dc, turn.
Row 25: sk 1 st, 1dc in each of next 13 dc, turn.
Row 26: sk 1 st, 1dc in each of next 13 dc, turn.
Row 27: sk 1 st, 1dc in each of next 11 dc, turn.
Row 28: sk 1 st, 1dc in each of next 9 dc, turn.
Row 29: sk 1 st, 1dc in each of next 7 dc, turn.
Row 24: sk 1st, 1 dc in each of next 5 dc.
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for attaching leg to body.

Step 6

Ear Fronts (make 2 using CC)
Rnd 1: Work 10dc in magic circle, sl st into 1st dc.
Rnd 2: inc, 1dc in each of next 3 dc, (inc-htr) twice, 1dc in each of next 3 dc, inc, (14 sts). Rnd 3: 1dc in next dc, inc, 1dc in each of next 4 dc, (inc-htr) twice, 1dc in next 3 dc, inc, 1dc in last dc (18 sts).
Rnd 4: 1dc in each of next 2 dc, inc, 1dc in each of next 5 dc, (inc-htr) twice, 1dc in each of next 5 dc, inc, 1dc in each of last 2 dc, (22 sts).
Fasten off.

Step 7

Ear Backs (make 2 using MC)
Work as for ear fronts up to and including Rnd 4.
Rnd 5: 1dc in each of next 3 dc, inc, 1dc in each of next 5 dc, (inc-htr) 4 times, 1dc in each of next 5 dc, inc, 1dc in each of last 2 dc, (28 dc).
Fasten off.

Step 8

Nose (using CC)
Rnd 1: Work 8dc in magic circle, sl st into 1st dc.
Rnd 2: 1 dc in 1st dc, (inc-htr) twice, 1dc in each of next 2 dc, (inc-htr) twice, 1dc in next dc, (12 sts).
Rnd 3: 1dc in each of next 2 sts, (inc-htr) twice, 1dc in each of next 4 sts, (inc-htr) twice, 1dc in each of next 2 sts. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Step 9

To assemble Stuff legs and use whip stitch to attach to body, placing the flaps on sides of body to stabilize legs. Stuff arms and use whip stitch to attach to body, placing the flaps towards front on each side of the neck to allow the arms to hang naturally. Attach head to neck. Place ear fronts and backs right sides facing, sew together, leaving the bottom of the triangle open. Turn right side out and attach to the top of the head, one on each side. Using whip st attach nose to front of face. Sew two eyes, using satin st.

Step 10

S H I T A K E BEAR is made in the same manner as cream bear, except, rounds 1-3 of the arms and rounds 1-5 of the legs are worked in CC, before continuing with the MC.

Step 11

BROWN RABBIT is made in the same manner as ******* bear, with the exception of the ears, and the addition of a tail.

Step 12

Rabbit Ears Fronts (make 2 using CC)
Foundation ch: Make 15ch.
Rnd 1: 1dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1dc in each of next 12 ch, 3htr in last ch, turn work around and continuing in the bottom of the foundation ch, work 1dc in each of next 13 ch, turn.
Rnd 2: 1dc in each of next 14 sts, 3htr in next st, 1dc in each of last 14 sts.
Fasten off.

Step 13

Rabbit Ear Backs (make 2 using MC)
Foundation ch: Make 17ch.
Rnd 1: 1dc in 2nd ch from hook, 1dc in each of next 14 ch, 3htr in last ch, turn work around and continuing in the bottom of the foundation ch, work 1dc in each of next 15 ch, turn.
Rnd 2: 1dc in each of next 16 sts, 3htr in next st, 1dc in each of last 16 sts.
Rnd 3: 1 dc in each of next 16 sts, 1 htr in each of next 3 sts, 1 dc in each of next 16 sts.
Fasten off.

Step 14

Tail (using CC)
Rnd 1: Work 8dc in magic circle, sl st into 1st dc.
Rnd 2: inc in each dc around, (16 dc).
Rnd 3: (1dc in next dc, inc) 8 times, (24 dc).
Rnd 4: (1dc in each of next 2 dc, inc) 8 times, (32 dc).
Rnds 5-8: 1dc in each dc around, (32 dc).
Rnd 9: (dec) 16 times.
Rnd 10: 1dc in each dc around, (16 dc).
Fasten off.

Step 15

Put together as per bear,
Stuff tail and attach to back of rabbit.

Magic Circle (used when you want a tight circle with no hole in the middle) = wrap yarn twice around your finger & work a sl st into the lp, slip the lp off your finger and work the first round into the ring (over the two strands), pull the yarn tail to tighten the loop to create an invisible centre.

Note: As these are worked in a continuous spiral it is advisable to use a use a stitch marker to mark the start of each round.
