Final Result

Materials

• 24 gauge silver beading wire
• Glass seed beads - red, green, white
• Silver salad servers, serving spoons & cake server
• Round nose pliers
• Cutting pliers
• Bead board

Step 1

Unwind approximately 80cm of wire from the spool and thread approximately 50cm of seed beads onto the wire - alternating the colours (red & white/green & white/red & green/red, green & white).

Step 2

Begin by winding the wire around the narrowest section of the handle, leaving a 5cm ‘tail’ at the back. Wind the beaded wire around the handle positioning the beads at the front with only the wire at the back. Continue winding the wire and beads around the handle, catching the ‘tail’ underneath on the back of the handle.

Step 3

Wind the beads around the handle as far as you wish to decorate threading on more beads as needed.

Step 4

To finish off leave 10cm of wire and cut off the excess. Take the wire to the back, wind around the last few wires and thread the tail underneath the wrapped wires at the back of the spoon. Trim off any excess wire.

Handy Hint

Wash your servers by hand with warm soapy water. Do not wash in the dishwasher.
