- Materials
- • 1 white cotton hand towel
• Christmas fabric (‘Tis the Season’ stripe)
• 80cm red rickrack
• 80cm x 5mm green topstitched grosgrain ribbon
• sewing machine
• sewing thread
• scissors
• tape measure/ruler
• pins
• iron - Step 1
- Cut 2 x pieces of Christmas fabric (with stripes horizontal), each measuring 9cm high by the width of hand towel plus 2cm. Cut a length of red rickrack and green grosgrain ribbon to the same width as fabric pieces. Pin and topstitch ribbon and trim to each piece of fabric running parallel with stripes in fabric. Press all raw edges of fabric under 1cm. Pin one piece of decorated fabric to each end of hand towel approximately 6cm in from the ends.
Topstitch decorated fabric to towel 3mm in from all edges of the fabric.
