Clown lantern

I love clowns... I want to be one!

Final Result

Materials

• white paper lantern
• ruler & pen
• A4 sheets foam - red, mauve
• large red pompom
• 2 joggle eyes
• orange crystal shred or orange yarn
• painty pen
• scissors
• glue

Step 1

Draw a mouth shape onto the red foam sheet and cut it out. Rule a line down one side of the mauve foam sheet 1cm in from the edge. Cut into four 5cm lengths.

Step 2

Take the lantern out of the flat pack and assemble it, following the diagram in the packet. Glue the mouth onto the lantern and then the mauve strips as crosses for the eyes.

Step 3

Divide the orange shred in half then roll each half into a ball and glue one to each side of the head. Glue a joggle eye over each of the mauve foam crosses. Use the painty pen to draw on a teardrop and a line on the mouth. Glue on the large red pompom nose.
