A very cure way to count down to Christmas!

Materials

• Kaisercraft ‘Days Til Christmas’ countdown tree
• Kaisercraft ‘Countdown’ scrapbook papers - Tinsel, Days ‘till Christmas, Merriment
• weave cardstock - pine, white
• Kaisercraft wooden star flourishes
• Kaisercraft rhinestones - silver, green, red
• Kaisercraft rhinestone words - Christmas in silver
• Kaisercraft acrylic paint - white
• American Crafts Thickers Foam letters - Subway in white
• paint brushes
• PVA paint
• double-sided tape
• Fiskars fingertip control craft knife or craft knife
• cutting mat & ruler
• pencil
• scissors
• paper trimmer
• fine sandpaper
• Fiskars craft drill
• fine saw (optional)

Step 1

Separate the number tags with either a craft knife or fine saw.

Sand all uneven edges until flat.

Step 2

Paint the sides of the tree, tree base, six number tags and wooden star flourish white. Allow to dry.

Paint the front of tree with PVA glue and cover with the back of the Days till Christmas paper.

Allow glue to dry before trimming excess paper away from edges of tree with a craft knife.

Step 3

Paint one side of the base of the tree with PVA glue and cover with the back of the Days till Christmas paper.

Allow glue to dry before trimming excess paper away from edges of the tree base with a craft knife.

Repeat on the back of the tree base using the same paper.

Step 4

Paint one side of each of the number tags with PVA glue and cover with the red side of the ‘Merriment’ paper.

Allow glue to dry before trimming excess paper away from edges of tags with a craft knife.

Repeat with the same paper for the back of each tag.

Punch out the paper from the holes in both sides of each tag.

Step 5

Using foam number stickers, stick numbers onto the middle of each tag in the following order:
1st Tag - 1 on front, 2 on back;
2nd Tag - 2 on front, 1 on back;
3rd Tag - 3 on front, 4 on back;
4th Tag - 5 on front, 6 on back;
5th Tag - 7 on front, 8 on back;
6th Tag - 9 on front, 0 on back.

Step 6

Mark where you would like to put the hooks for number tags to hang and make two small holes using Fiskars craft drill. Screw in hooks.

Step 7

Cut an 18cm diameter circle from white cardstock and a 17cm diameter circle from the front of the Tinsel paper.

Stick the Tinsel circle to the middle of the white circle then adhere to the left-hand side of the tree using PVA glue.

Allow to dry before trimming away excess paper.

Step 8

Stick rhinestone word ‘Christmas’ onto the right-hand side of tree at the base.

Above this, also to the right-hand side of the tree, stick foam letters for ‘days til’.

Glue painted wooden star flourish to the top of the tree. Allow to dry.

Embellish front of star and tree with silver, red and green rhinestones.

Push tree base into the slot in the base of the tree and place tags on hooks.
