- Materials
- • 2 x 100g balls Patons Smoothie DK - variegated
• 1 x 100g ball Patons Smoothie DK - plain
• 8.00mm crochet hook
• needle for sewing - Step 1
- Foundation Row: Using the variegated yarn make 83 chain.
Row 1: (RS) Vst into 4th ch from hook, *miss 2 ch, Vst; repeat from * to last ch, 1tr, turn (27 Vst).
Row 2: 3ch, *Vst into 1-ch sp; repeat from * to last st, 1tr in top of 3-tch.
Repeat row 2, 23 times.
Fasten off. - Step 2
- Contrasting bands
Hold rectangle upside down and starting at the right end of row 1, using plain Smoothie, sl st into the last st and make 61 chain.
Work 1dc in 2nd st from hook, then 1dc in each remaining ch.
Work 1dc in each st across the body of the wrap, then work 61ch at the other end.
Work 1dc in 2nd ch from hook, then 1dc in each ch, and 1dc into the body of the wrap.
Work a row of dc evenly down the side of the wrap, working 2dc into the last st, *shell into 1st Vst, 1dc in sp between Vsts, repeat from * to end of row.
Work one more dc in last st, before working a row of dc evenly up the other side of the wrap. Sl st into 1st sl st and fasten off. Sew in all ends. - Abbreviation

dc=double crochet
