- Final Result

- Materials
- • cardstock or ready-made card
• black paper
• peach paper
• white paper
• hair printed on paper (e.g. magazine shampoo ad)
• fabric scrap for dress
• fabric scrap or ribbon for belt
• glue stick
• scissors
• craft knife & cutting mat
• paper trimmer
• circle punch - Step 1
- Cut cardstock 22cm x 16cm and fold in half (or use ready-made card). Draw dancing girl shape on black paper and cut out. Cut the larger hair shape out from ‘hair’ paper and stick to the back of the girl’s head. Cut a smaller hair shape for the fringe and stick down.
- Step 2
- Cut the dress shape from fabric and stick to body using glue. Turn the girl over, cover the back with glue and stick onto the card. For the belt, cut a 25cm strip of fabric. Using the craft knife cut a slit on each side of her waist. Thread fabric or ribbon through the slits and tie to one side. Trim ends.
- Step 3
- Cut out embellishments - 2 bangles, 2 earrings, bib detail for front of dress (punch out 3 holes) and glue down. Cut a semi-circle from white paper for the smile and glue in place.
- Handy Hint
- • Cut the limbs a little longer than necessary as it allows for easier placement on card - then trim the ends.
• Use white paper for the body or any colour that contrasts with the cardstock.
