- Final Result

- Materials
- • Timtex interfacing
• hot pink cotton fabric for front
• white cotton fabric for back
• Vliesofix fusible web
• chalk marking pencil
• lime green thread
• gold metallic thread
• green glass seed beads (No 8)
• scissors
• rotary cutter, cutting mat & quilters ruler
• iron
• sewing machine
• hand needle - Step 1
- Using the rotary cutter, cutting mat and quilters ruler cut a 6” x 4” rectangle from the Timtex, the pink fabric and the white fabric. Cut two 6” x 4” rectangles from the Vliesofix and iron one to the back of the pink fabric and one onto the back of the white fabric.
- Step 2
- Trace the tree lightly onto the pink fabric with the chalk pencil. Remove the release paper from the back of the pink fabric and fuse in place on the Timtex.

- Step 3
- Use free motion quilting with lime green thread to draw the tree on your postcard. Change to metallic thread to add wavy lines of ‘tinsel’ and a star at the top.

- Step 4
- Stitch seed beads at random all over the tree for Christmas baubles.

- Step 5
- Fuse the white fabric to the back of the postcard, to cover the back of your stitching and any knots. Use a zigzag or satin stitch in green thread to cover the edges of the postcard.
