• 1.3m x 90cm wide yellow felt (70% wool)
• size 16 cushion insert (41cm)
• sewing machine
• matching Gütermann thread
• scissors

• pins
• hand needle - Step 1
- Cut 2 x 40cm diameter circles from each colour of felt then cut each circle in half - 4 semi-circles in each colour.

- Step 2
- Place a white semi circle on a flat surface with the curved edge at top. Stack 2 yellow semi-circles on top aligning edges, the other white semi-circle on top. Fold top semi-circle in half and mark the top of the arc with a pin. Pin a straight line from the bottom left corner to the top of the arc of the semi- circle (see diagram).

- Step 3
- Sew this line through all 4 layers of felt.

- Step 4
- Pin a straight line from the bottom right corner to the top of the arc of the semi- circle. Sew this line through all 4 layers of felt.

- Step 5
- Repeat steps 2-5 with other 4 semi circles of felt. Pin both pieces together aligning remaining curved edges. Sew one curve at a time, as in step 3. Repeat on remaining curve.
- Step 6
- Cut a 40cm square of yellow felt and place cushion front, curved edges face down on top. Pin and sew all edges, leaving a 30cm opening on one of the sides. Clip corners and trim seam where needed. Turn right side out, pushing out corners. Place cushion insert into cover and hand sew opening closed.
For the white cushion repeat steps 1-6 reversing all the colours. - Note
