How to - Sew on bias binding

Step by step lesson - for teachers or learners.
Materials
Your preference.
Step 1
Pin right side of opened-out bias strip to wrong side of work, with raw edges even.
Step 2
Stitch along first crease in bias.
Step 3
Fold bias up and to wrong side over cut fabric edges and pin in place. Topstitch bias in place.
Note
Packaged poly cotton bias binding is available in 12mm, 25mm and 50mm widths in a wide range of colours. Satin bias binding is available by the metre in 12mm 20mm and 25mm widths in a large range of colours.
