Double-sided tape
Fiskars fingertip control craft knife or craft knife

Scissors - Step 1
- Cut 6 x 1.5cm wide strips each 20cm long from the printed and plain papers.
Punch a hole 1cm in from each end of each strip.
Lay brad flat with pins facing up and thread each strip onto the pin through the hole punched in one of the ends.
Fan strips out in star shape.
Loop over bringing the other end of each strip back to the centre and slip the hole in the strip over pin.
Repeat with all strips maintaining the star shape and secure firmly with brad.
If needed further secure strips with some double-sided tape between each strip to hold shape. - Step 2
- Cut two 30cm long by 5cm wide strips from weave cardstock for each hat.
Stick the strips together to make one long strip using double-sided tape.
Stick the paper star to the centre of the paper strip over and covering the join in the strip. - Step 3
- Place strip around the child's head with the star at the front, overlap the ends of strip to fit child' head and secure ends with double-sided tape.
