Art Smock
Kwik Sew pattern #3046
• Ribbons, ric rac and motifs to embellish

Library Bag
• 50cm cotton drill
• 1.2m ribbon or cord for draw string
• Ribbons, ric rac & motifs to embellish
• Safety pin
• Matching thread

Step 1

Art Smock

Follow Kwik Sew pattern instructions and embellish as desired.

Step 2

Library Bag

Cut fabric 50cm x 80 cm and fold in half.

Step 3

Embellish with ric rac, ribbons and motifs.

Step 4

Stitch the side and the bottom edges using 1cm seam allowance.

Overlock or zigzag seams to neaten.

Step 5

Turn top edge under 1cm and press.

Turn under another 1cm, press and stitch.

Step 6

To form a casing for the cord turn under 2cm and stitch, leaving a 1.5cm opening at the edge through which to thread the cord.

Step 7

Pin the end of the cord to the safety pin and thread through the casing.

Remove the pin and knot the ends together.

Handy Hint

Even though this bag will be unique it is a good idea to sew or iron a name label to the inside.
