Final Result

Materials

• 1 pair 7.00mm knitting needles
• Scissors
• Yarn needle
• Tape measure
• 3 x Stitch holders
• Wristlets - 3 x 50g balls ‘Moda Vera’ Medley
• Hat - 3 x 50g balls ‘Moda Vera’ Medley
• Capelet - 7 x 50g balls ‘Moda Vera’ Medley
• Size: One size fits most.

TENSION
15 sts x 14 rows to 10cm over stocking st using 7.00mm knitting needles.

Step 1

WRISTLETS - make 2
Cast on 30 sts and work 4 rows of 2 x 2 rib.
Change to stocking st and cont until work measures 18cm from beg.
Work 4 rows of 2 x 2 rib.
Cast off loosely in rib.

Finishing
Fold in half and pin, sew 2cm from the top, leave a 5cm opening and continue to sew seam.
Oversew 2cm in from one side at the top to make a space for the thumb.
Weave in loose ends.

Step 2

HAT
Cast on 58 sts and work 4 rows of 2 x 2 rib.
Change to stocking st and cont until work measures 17cm from beg.

Shape Crown
Row 1: (K3, K2tog) to last 3 sts, K3.
Rows 2: Purl.
Row 3: (K2, K2tog) to last 3 sts, K3.
Rows 4: Purl.
Row 5: (K1, K2tog) to end.
Row 6: P2tog to end.

Cut yarn leaving a long tail, thread tail through remaining stitches, draw up tightly to close the top of the hat and stitch down the back seam.
Fasten off.
Weave in loose ends.

Step 3

CAPELET

BACK
Cast on 74 sts and work 4 rows of 2 x 2 rib.
Change to stocking st and cont until work measures 10cm from beg.*

Shaping
Dec 1 st at each end of this and foll 4th rows until 58 sts rem.
Purl 1 row.
Cast off 7 sts at beg of next 4 rows.
Leave rem 30 sts on a holder.

FRONT
Work same as for back to *.

Shaping
Dec 1 st at each end of this and foll 4th rows until 62 sts rem.
Purl 1 row.

Neck Shaping
K21, turn.
Dec at beg of this and every row (neck edge) 5 times, AT THE SAME TIME, starting with next row, cont to dec 1 st on shoulder edge every 4th row until 14 sts rem.
Purl 1 row.
Cast off 7 sts at beg of next row.
Purl 1 row.
Cast off rem 7 sts.
Place next 20 sts, on a holder.
Rejoin yarn and knit across rem 21sts.
Dec at neck edge (end of this row) and every row every 5 times, AT THE SAME TIME, starting with next knit row, cont to dec 1 st every 4th row (on shoulder edge until 14 sts rem.
Work 2 rows.
Cast off 7 sts at beg of next row.
Knit 1 row.
Cast off rem 7 sts.

Step 4

NECK
With right sides facing, pin and sew left shoulder.
Knit 30 sts off holder for back, knit up 8 sts down left front, 20 sts off holder for front neck, knit up 8 sts up right front (66 sts).
Work 4 rows of 2 x 2 rib.
Cast off loosely in rib.

Step 5

FINISHING
With right sides facing, pin and sew side seams, sew right shoulder, including neck band.
Weave in loose ends.
