Painted Canvas Wreath

- Materials
- • Square canvas - 16" x16"
• Kaisercolour acrylic paint - Heritage Green & Green
• Jo Sonja’s acrylic paint - Moss Green
• Glitter paint or Glitter glue - green & gold
• Paper flowers - red & gold
• Adhesive rhinestones - red & green
• Brads
• 10mm wide coordinating ribbon
• Scissors
• Craft glue
• Paint brush
• Pencil & paper/card - Step 1
- Draw a holly leaf shape on paper or card measuring approximately 15cm in length and cut out to make a template.
- Step 2
- Using a pencil, lightly trace the holly leaf shape onto the front of the canvas in a circular wreath shape, overlapping leaves at random.
- Step 3
- Starting with the darkest colour, Heritage green, paint the leaves that are in the background of the wreath.
Allow to dry. - Step 4
- Using the next shade, Green, paint the leaves in the mid-ground of the wreath shape, allow to dry.
- Step 5
- Finally paint the leaves in the foreground of the wreath shape Moss green.
Allow to dry. - Step 6
- Outline each leaf with gold or green glitter glue or glitter paint, allow to dry.
- Step 7
- Insert either a brad or stick a rhinestone to the centre of each flower and glue to painted wreath as desired.
- Step 8
- Tie a bow with co-ordinating decorative ribbon and glue to the base of painted wreath.
Allow all glue to dry before hanging canvas.
