- Set circle cutter to 5cm (2") and cut out 20 circles, four from each colour or in colour combination as desired.
If using a 5cm circle template trace around the template onto desired colours of cardstock and using scissors cut out a total of 20 circles. - Step 2
- Cut one extra circle; fold it in half then in thirds.
Unfold.
Mark every second crease along the outside edge of the circle so there are three equally spaced dots.
Draw a straight line between the adjacent dots to form an equilateral triangle and cut it out.
Trace it onto light cardboard and cut out. - Step 3
- Centre triangle template on the back of each circle and lightly score.
Fold up the edges of the circle to the front and make a sharp crease using the bone folder.
Repeat for all 20 circles. - Step 4
- To create the top of the ball take 5 pieces and glue the flaps together, keeping the point of the triangle at the top then glue the first piece to the last to make half a dome.
Repeat to create bottom of the ball. - Step 5
- Take the remaining 10 pieces and glue the flaps together, alternating the triangle points to be at the top then the bottom.
Glue the first and last flaps together to make a band. - Step 6
- To complete the ball glue the top and bottom sections to the band made in step 5.
Punch a hole in the top and hang with a length of cord.
