Square Ribbon decorated papier mache box

Final Result

Materials

• Medium square papier mache box
• Folk Art Acrylic paint - 9 Metallic Pearl White
• Folk Art Acrylic paint - 2 Metallic Silver Sterling or Silver Spray Paint
• Paint brush
• 35mm wide matt silver satin ribbon
• 15mm wide dusty pink taffeta ribbon
• 25mm wide dusty pink taffeta ribbon
• 7mm wide silver edged blue satin ribbon
• 10mm wide silver edged blue satin ribbon
• Double-sided tape or craft glue/hot glue gun
• Scissors

Step 1

Paint box lid and box base with silver paint, allow to dry, then paint a thin layer of metallic pearl white paint over the top of the silver paint and allow to dry.

Step 2

Stick 25mm pink taffeta ribbon around the sides of the base of the box 1cm up from the bottom edge then stick 10mm silver edge ribbon to the centre of the pink ribbon.

Step 3

Stick the 15mm pink taffeta ribbon around the rim of the box lid then stick the 7mm silver edged blue ribbon to the centre of the pink ribbon.

Step 4

Place gift inside box and close lid.

Step 5

Attach 25mm pink taffeta ribbon to the centre of 35mm silver ribbon and wrap around the sides of the box and lid, securing ends of ribbon by tying a big bow on the centre of the box lid.

Step 6

Tie a bow in 7mm silver edged blue satin ribbon and glue in place on top of the layered ribbon bow.
