Star Garlands

- Materials
- • Plain weave cardstock - rouge & white
• Large wooden star to use as template
• Craft Knife, Ruler & Cutting Mat
• Scissors
• Sewing machine and red & white sewing thread - Step 1
- Using wooden star as a template cut out desired number of star shapes from cardstock.
- Step 2
- Thread sewing machine with a contrasting coloured thread and pull out 50cm of top and bobbin thread to allow for the hanging end of garland.
Tie ends of threads in a secure knot. - Step 3
- Begin sewing through first star at the top of one point and sew through to the base of that star.
Continue machine sewing under the star to create desired gap between stars. - Step 4
- Sew through the next star in the same way and continue chain piecing stars together until desired number of stars have been sewn.
- Step 5
- After the last star, pull out 50cm both threads again to allow a hanger for the other end of the garland.
Tie ends of threads together in a secure knot.
