Valentine's table - wine glass twists

A dinner at home this Valentine’s Day gets the glamour touch when you make gorgeous napkin jewellery, wine glass & candle embellishments to set the scene.

Materials

For both designs

• Ribtex 20 gauge silver designer wire
• Ribtex 2mm bright silver crimp beads
• round nose pliers
• cutting pliers
• flat nose pliers
• bead board

For red & white twist

• Ribtex 4mm white glass pearls
• Ribtex 4mm red glass bicones
• Ribtex 4mm silver jump ring
• Ribtex 10mm Swarovski crystal AB heart

Pink twist

• Ribtex 4mm barely pink glass pearls
• Ribtex 6mm pink AB glass bicones
• Ribtex 5mm rose pink plastic round faceted beads
• Ribtex 8mm rose pink plastic round faceted beads
• Ribtex 12mm pink oil lined heart

Step 1

Red & white love twist

Cut a 25cm length of wire and using round nose pliers, turn one end of the wire into a small loop. This will stop the beads from sliding off the end as you thread them onto the wire. Arrange beads on bead board in selected pattern or simply alternate white 4mm glass pearls with 2mm crimp beads. Thread beads onto the wire to the end then create a loop as before. Attach a jump ring through the hole at the top of the Swarovski heart, taking care to open the jump ring completely so you do not damage the heart. Attach the heart to the loop just created and cose the jump ring securely. Take the length of beaded wire and twist it around the stem of a wine glass, positioning the Swarovski heart at the bottom of the glass.

Step 2

Precious pink twist

Follow the instructions for steps 1 and 2 of the Red & White Love Twist. A variation on the regular small loop would be to create a more decorative loop, giving it a few extra turns.
