Wooden Christmas Letters

Decorate the tree with a Christmas greeting.

Final Result

Materials

6cm Kaisercraft wooden letters*
White paint
Paint brush
Narrow red ribbon (or colour of choice)
Scissors
Sandpaper
Optional - clear varnish
*Select the letters needed to spell out your greeting - M-E-R-R-Y C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S; J-O-Y, etc.

Step 1

Lightly sand the letters and wipe free of dust.

Paint the edges and one side of each letter and set aside to dry.

Step 2

Paint the other side of all the letters and allow to dry thoroughly.

Optional: give letters a coat of clear varnish.

Step 3

Cut 30cm lengths of ribbon, tie onto each letter and knot at the top to create a hanging loop.

Tip: As well as greetings letters can be painted to spell out people's names, the year or special place.
