Final Result

Materials

• Wooden letters - J, O, Y, P, 2 x E, A, C
• Kaisercraft acrylic paint - white
• Folk Art Acrylic paint - #659 Metallic Pearl White
• Folk Art Acrylic paint - #688 Light Fuchsia
• Paint brush
• Adhesive rhinestones
• Silver leafing pen/Silver paint pen

Step 1

Paint the front and sides of all letters with two coats of white paint.
Let dry.

Step 2

Mix Metallic Pearl white paint with a bit of Light Fuchsia paint until desired colour is obtained.

Paint the front of all letters with mixed pearl paint.
Allow to dry.

Paint a second coat of mixed pearl paint to intensify colour if desired.

Step 3

Using silver pen draw swirls on the front of each letter extending halfway up the height of the letter.
Allow to dry.

Step 4

Paint the side edges of all letters with silver pen.
Allow to dry.

Step 5

Stick adhesive rhinestones randomly over drawn silver swirls on the front of each letter.
