Yo-yo garland & Tree decorations

- Yo-Yos like these, in yuletide colours, are great for Christmas but alternative colours can be used to create party decorations throughout the year.

- Yo-yo garland.
• Clover quick yo-yo maker - large
• Gütermann 100% cotton thread - cream, green, red
• hand sewing needle

• Clover quick yo-yo maker - extra large
• Clover quick yo-yo maker - large

• 8cm red tassel
• red perle thread

- Yo-yo garland.
Step 1
Cut 12cm squares from all of the Christmas fabrics. Make 60 yo-yos using the large Clover quick yo-yo maker and thread to match each fabric. Set aside. - Step 2
- Arrange the yo-yos in random order or as desired.
- Step 3
- Stitch the yo-yos together using small tight stitches to form a long chain.

From a variety of different Christmas fabrics cut 4 x 22cm squares, 3 x 15cm squares and 2 x12cm squares. - Step 5

Using the 22cm squares, the jumbo Clover yo-yo maker and thread to match each fabric make 4 yo-yos and set aside.
Using thread to match each fabric, make 3 yo-yos using the 15cm squares and the extra large Clover yo-yo maker, then make 2 yo-yos using the 12cm squares and the large Clover yo-yo maker. - Step 6

Arrange the yo-yos in random fabric order with the four jumbo at the bottom, the three extra large in the middle and the two large on top.
Using the chenille needle and the red perle thread and starting at the top, stitch from the top down through all the yo-yos.
Make a couple of stitches through the top of the tassel then back up through all the yo-yos to the top.
Pull ends of thread together and tie in a knot to secure.
To create a hanging loop knot the ends together 15cm above the top of the yo-yos.
